BGA Connects San Francisco: Web3 Gaming in Focus
Earlier this month, the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA), together with SKALE, Sequence, and Salvay, brought the Web3 gaming community together for a high-energy afternoon of knowledge-sharing, networking, and inspiration at Edge & Node’s House of Web3 in San Francisco’s stunning Presidio district.
With over 200 attendees in the room — from indie devs and crypto-curious builders to industry veterans and Web2 giants — the event was a true celebration of innovation, community, and the future of interactive entertainment.
The BGA x SKALE x Sequence x Salvay event was awesome. It was wonderful to connect with partners, prospects, developers, and friends to talk about building the next generation of games. The panels were insightful, venue was beautiful, the energy was amazing, and everyone had a great time.

Highlights from the Stage
“Working with the BGA to co-host events worldwide has been one of the best decisions that SKALE has made. The opportunity to network with builders in the space, as well as dive deeper into conversations with industry leaders across multiple panels, made the event at GDC a roaring success. While the blockchain gaming sector is still in its early stages, the conversations taking place show that we are all on the right track to mainstream adoption.”

GDC 2025: Web3’s Presence & Perspective
At this year’s Game Developers Conference, Web3’s footprint may have been smaller — but it was mighty. Arbitrum turned heads with a large booth showcasing titles like Rift Storm, Pirate Nation, and Champions Tactics (by Ubisoft). We also caught up with other notable attendees and BGA members, which included Bitwave (bridging Web2 and Web3) and Gnus AI, who have developed a tool to make blockchain integration seamless and help game studios increase their revenue in a decentralized manner.
Beyond the Main Event
BGA joined several key side events across the city, including PGC SF, which, while web2 focused, hosted a round table discussion: Web3 Wonders: Empowering The Games Industry In 2025, gathering pioneers in the web3 gaming ecosystem such as Pixels, Sebastien Borget, the Sandbox, Michael Sanders, Sequence, Ben xx Bears Tony pierce Reality+, moderated by Bobby Kunta, The Sandbox DAO.
Key takeaway from the discussion: Web2 developers are cautious of the extra steps to secure transactions and avoid latency that are required to integrate blockchain elements in their games – The panel kicked back by outlining the benefits of new revenue streams and potential of player experiences leveraging blockchain and spoke on the leaps in advancement of the development of tools to simplify web3 integration.
The Vibe: Optimistic, Resilient, and Ready
From Ronin and Avalanche to Immutable, Sonieum, Helika, and YGG — the Web3 gaming community showed up in force across San Francisco. Even in a more challenging market and amidst evolving policy, the energy was electric and the sentiment clear:
Builders are building – The games are getting better and more accessible- The future is closer than ever!
