LAMINA1 Partners with Blockchain Game Alliance to Launch New Grant Program for Web3 Developers
Up to 250K $LL1 in Grants, Ecosystem Access, and Strategic Support Now Available to BGA Members
June 4, 2025 — LAMINA1, a platform and protocol for IP ownership, incubation, and distribution founded by visionary author/futurist Neal Stephenson and entertainment executive Rebecca Barkin, today announced a strategic partnership with the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA) to accelerate the development of next-generation Web3 games, creator tools, dApps, and entertainment platforms.
As part of the collaboration, LAMINA1 will officially join the BGA network and sponsor a new token grant program exclusive to the group’s partners, members, and developers –– the first of its kind being offered to BGA partners by one of its members.
Beginning in early June, members can express interest and submit project proposals via a co-branded application form hosted on BGA Channels. A panel of industry leaders will evaluate submissions based on creative vision, technical readiness, business model, and market potential. Winning teams will be announced in October 2025.
As part of the program, selected projects will receive individual token grants of up to 250,000 $LL1 (the network’s official launch/partnerships token), along with a one-year BGA Basic Membership and early access to LAMINA1’s new Spaces platform—a creator-owned hub for funding, distribution, and fan engagement debuting on the platform in fall 2025.
At the BGA, we’re thrilled to collaborate with Lamina1 — a platform born from Neal Stephenson’s visionary ambition to empower creators in the open metaverse,” said Flavien Defraire, Director of Global Development at the BGA. “This partnership is a powerful step toward giving builders the tools, visibility, and ownership they deserve. We can’t wait to see how Web3 creators will shape the future using Lamina1’s infrastructure.”
To qualify for the opportunity, applicants must fill out the interest form and submit a working game, prototype, or functional platform by the program’s mid-September 2025 deadline. Only BGA members are eligible, and completing the interest form will enroll applicants for further updates on pitch requirements and next steps.
Following grant distribution, recipients will also be among the first onboarded to Spaces—LAMINA1’s AI-enhanced community experience where IP-holders can tease, test, and promote their creations. The platform will debut alongside Neal Stephenson’s Artefact Space in Fall 2025.
LAMINA1 is being built to empower creators, storytellers, and developers with the tools to own their IP, build fan communities, and launch rich, open digital worlds,” said Geraldine Pamphile, Chief Operating & Business Officer at LAMINA1. “This partnership with BGA is a powerful way to support that mission—and to uplift a new generation of builders reimagining what’s possible in Web3 and gaming.”
