Job Description
As a Lead QA at Cross The Ages, your mission will be to ensure the quality and reliability of our video games through rigorous testing.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop functional tests, technical tests, and testing tools.
- Propose test plans (technical tests, build tests, game design tests, etc.).
- Suggest improvements, reproduction rules, debug logs, and explanatory videos.
- Assess the feasibility of a game project based on audience knowledge.
- Organize quantitative tests with the community.
- Ensure the stability of various game versions.
Quality Management:
- Conduct systematic and regular checks of the game’s functionality based on specifications (handling tests, ergonomics, readability, tuning).
- Identify bugs and the conditions under which they occur.
- Test gameplay mechanics and assess difficulties.
- Evaluate the severity and likelihood of bugs found during testing.
- Document bugs in a database and communicate findings to the team.
- Propose fixes and collaborate with programmers to implement them.
- Verify bug corrections.
- Validate integrated game features against design documentation.
- Write precise reports (both written and oral) on issues and inconsistencies.
Profile Sought
We are looking for candidates passionate about the video game industry, with the following skills and qualities:
- Proven experience in a similar position, minimum 3 years.
- Training in development or video games.
- Prior experience in software testing, ideally in the video game industry.
- Knowledge of bug-reporting tools (e.g., Devtrack, Mantis, Jira, Test Track Pro).
- Mastery of automated testing tools is a plus (Selenium, Appium, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills to report issues to developers!
