Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and driven Social & Community Manager to build and nurture the Soccerverse community, elevate our brand presence, and drive player engagement. You will be the voice of Soccerverse across all social media platforms and community channels, creating compelling content, fostering meaningful interactions, and implementing strategies to grow our player base.

Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Growth:

  • Amplify engagement throughout community on social discussions, promptly replying to messages, platform moderation and fostering positive interactions. 
  • Build and develop relationships with ambassadors to represent Soccerverse in global communities.
  • Identify and reward active players and helpful community members with exclusive benefits and in-game rewards (e.g., Influence, unique items, titles).
  • Organise and host community events, such as AMAs or Trading Days to encourage player interaction.
  • Help bridge the gap internally across marketing and developments teams as well as externally with the community.
  • Support develop and expand our referral program to incentivise current players to bring in new ones, including budget proposals and implementation.
  • Effectively manage timelines and resources for community events, influencer partnerships, and referral programs.
  • Experience with moderation tools (e.g. Discord, Facebook Groups, Reddit, forums, etc.)

Social Media Management & Content Creation:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Soccerverse’s goals.
  • Create engaging and platform-specific content, including weekly game news, match highlights, league updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and community spotlights.
  • Produce compelling storytelling content, from posts to videos – tailored to each platform (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc).
  • Ensure content is planned, produced, and published according to schedule, maintaining alignment with marketing goals. 
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and viral content to maximise reach and engagement. 

Marketing Support:

  • Assist the Marketing Lead with general marketing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Support the scheduling and content creation for email communications.
  • Help develop new ideas and processes to elevate the marketing function.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Set and track key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for community growth and satisfaction.
  • Monitor social media performance and provide regular reports with actionable insights, ensuring channel growth and positive engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Passion for football and gaming, with a strong understanding of their respective communities. Web3 knowledge and/or marketing experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms and building online communities.
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and track multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Notion, or Monday.com) is a plus.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in tracking and analysing social media metrics.
  • Capable of independently creating visual content, including graphic design, fully owning the creation process. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc).
  • Flexible work style and able to respond effectively to both proactive and reactive scenarios.
  • Able work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Comfortable with both on-camera and behind-the-camera work. 
  • Video creation and editing skills with experience with related tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro etc).
  • Familiarity with live streaming platforms (e.g., Twitch) or esports marketing.
  • Start-up mentality and enjoys the challenge of building brands and/or products from the ground up.
