BGA Unleashes Web3 Gaming at Gamescom 2023
BGA is excited to head to Gamescom next week. Head over to our booth for the best of blockchain gaming. We will be in Hall 2.2 at booth B029 and have 19 awesome projects demoing their games and products. As well as a hive of activity at the booth, BGA will participate in panel discussions and organize meet-ups for the community over the three days. We are excited to make new connections and meet industry professionals to discover what they are working on and showcase our work and how you can get involved.

In this edition, we had the opportunity to interview Hideaki Uehara from Square Enix, one of the largest global game developers and publishers with titles such as final fantasy and the action-RPG Kingdom Hearts series, to talk about all things blockchain and gaming.
We had the chance to catch up with Elina Arponen, CEO of Quicksave Interactive, a studio developing web2 and web3 games and development tools for the new social games market, and have worked on titles such as Axie Ray of Light to talk about the differences of building games traditional and blockchain game development. - Web2 to web3 gaming, integrating blockchain technology

On the Stage
BGA president and The Sandbox COO, Sebastien Borget, will speak on several panels at the Saga Multiverse Summit on the 23rd and 24th of August and a BGA moderated discussion.
23rd — 19.00: Saga VIP Panel: Sebastien Borget joins the VIP discussion.
24th — 12.00: BGA’s content manager, Melanie Dow, will moderate a talk on web3 gaming communities.
24th — 14.30: Join Sebastien for a panel discussion on ‘The Path from Web2 to Web3 Games.’
Side Events
To bring together our members and attending web3 gaming professionals and enthusiasts, we have a web3 gaming social hour in collaboration with BGA member Sequence and host our annual BGA dinner exclusively for members to meet up, chat, and network during Gamescom.

BGA Survey Report 2023
In addition, we are kicking off our annual survey report during Gamescom. This is an industry report based on feedback from BGA members and industry professionals to look at the web3 gaming ecosystem, gain insights into the views and sentiments of participants, and assess the year and expectations for the coming year. You can view last year’s report here and grab the link for the 2023 survey, which will be active on the 23rd of August as Gamescom will be our official launch!
