Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Strategic Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives. In this role, you will not just be “recruiting members”, you will be structuring impactful relationships. You will identify key industry players (Game Studios, Chains, Infrastructure), diagnose their business needs, and demonstrate how the BGA ecosystem can accelerate their growth.

We are looking for a “Hunter” profile who understands the nuances of the blockchain stack and can confidently pitch complex value propositions to decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Acquisition: Proactively identify and engage high-potential companies (Studios, L1/L2s, Tech Providers) to join the BGA. Focus on quality and strategic fit.
  • Consultative Sales: Move beyond transactional pitching. You will conduct discovery calls to understand a prospect’s challenges (e.g., user acquisition, funding, tech stack) and tailor the BGA value proposition, including visibility, deal flow, and governance opportunities to solve those problems.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from cold outreach to negotiation and closing. You will be responsible for forecasting revenue and maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Deal Structuring: Negotiate and finalize membership and partnership agreements that maximize value for both the member and the Alliance.
  • Ecosystem Intelligence: Keep a pulse on the market to identify which companies are currently well-funded and looking for “go-to-market” support, positioning BGA as their primary partner.
  • Reporting: Track revenue growth, deal velocity, and pipeline health, providing clear insights to leadership.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Revenue Generated: (Primary Metric) Total value of memberships and partnerships secured.
  • Pipeline Value: Value of qualified opportunities currently in negotiation.
  • Conversion Rate: Effectiveness in closing qualified leads.
  • Strategic Wins: Acquisition of key market leaders and “brand name” logos.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, or Partnerships, preferably within Gaming, SaaS, or Fintech.
  • The “Closer” Mentality: You have a track record of closing deals and meeting revenue targets. You are comfortable discussing budgets and ROI with senior executives.
  • Industry Fluency: You can speak the language of Web3 gaming fluently.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to craft compelling pitches and presentations that articulate “Business Development as a Service” and ecosystem value.
  • Autonomy: You can build your own lead lists and manage your own schedule without needing hand-holding.
