Alun Evans, Co-Founder at LAOS Network

Dr Alun Evans, Co-Founder of LAOS Network.
With over 20 years of experience leading and designing games and tech companies, Alun is well-versed in creating innovative products that tackle experiential and developer challenges. In addition to his stewardship of LAOS Network, he is CEO and Co-Founder of the company building LAOS, Freeverse, which focuses on building scalable blockchain infrastructure. His history as the co-creator of ‘Barcelona World Race – THE GAME’, a cutting-edge video game enabling virtual participation in real-world events, and his wider passion for gaming, have fed into his vision for LAOS Network as a solution for the intersection of Web3 tech with both gaming and real-world applications. Alun also led Shar3d.io, a pioneering company enabling collaborative 3D web applications, and served as CTO of Bodypal.com, a virtual garment services company. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from University College London.

Hayder Sharhan, Co-Founder & CEO at Whalepass

Hayder entered the web3 space at Consensys where he worked for two years building different products relating to DeFi, NFTs, Esports, and the future of work later spinning out a project into what’s now known as Community Gaming. Hayder started Whalepass to help game developers harness the power of web3 gaming at an early stage.

Phil Watkins, Founder at OVI Esports

Phil is a serial entrepreneur, investor, public speaker, founder at OVI Esports, co-founder at GMGames, Apecoin DAO Metaverse Steward.

Nicholas Douzinas, CGO of DOT.PLAY

Nick has been operating in the Polkadot ecosystem since 2021, bridging the barrier of gaming on Polkadot. Nick has a track record in web3 gaming since 2017, as a member of the BGA and part of the founding team of one of the earliest Gaming chains, Ebakus. He holds an MSc from Imperial College London, MSc from Cass Business School and a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick.
