What inspired you to start Helika?

Parallel, a sci-fi trading card game (TCG), came to Helika with some unique challenges. A cross between Magic: The Gathering and blockchain technology, Parallel needed to balance gameplay among the different skill levers of its players while introducing and modifying cards to optimize for a competitive yet enjoyable experience for its players. They had trouble identifying imbalance cards, tracking win rates, and addressing gameplay issues across players of all skill levels. By providing detailed data analytics and insights into individual card performance, Helika’s comprehensive approach helped implement five successful balance patches—double their previous pace—while maintaining player satisfaction. Their DAU player retention increased by 86% and Day 7 retention improved by 100% over four months. Our analysts provided crucial insights for card performance optimization, directly contributing to these improvements.
